Dian Masalanta
Dian/Dayang/Diyan Masalanta, which is believed to be the pre-colonial name of Maria Makiling, is the goddess of love, childbirth, peace, and the protector of lovers. She is the diwata of the mountain named after her, Mt. Makiling. Ancestors prayed and honored her in times of childbirth, marriage, and also to prevent floods and earthquakes. In some accounts, men have said she wears a white dress and that the mist in the mountains is a sign that she's there.
